　Just as we were still reeling from the impact of ‘PORT CHESTER 2015 SOUNDBOARD,’ which captured two days of Jackson Browne’s Port Chester performances, now, incredibly, pro-shot footage of both days has been unearthed!

　Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre was originally a historic concert hall built in 1926, but it underwent a major renovation in 2012. At that time, a filming system was installed that displayed live footage of the day’s performance on monitors in the venue lobby.

　The footage unearthed this time consists of two days’ worth of footage thanks to that benefit. Although it’s professional shot for the venue lobby, the multi-angle footage is at a level that can be enjoyed as a live video, and the image quality is surprisingly excellent.

　What’s impressive about it is that, despite being a lobby video, the camera angles aren’t solely focused on Jackson. Thanks to the multi-angle perspective, each band member is also clearly captured.

　Above all, this tour featured a star-studded lineup, with Larry Campbell not only opening for Jackson but also participating as a second guitarist in Jackson’s band. This luxurious formation can only be visually enjoyed through professionally shot footage.

　Furthermore, while we could confirm from the previous soundboard recording that Campbell’s wife, Theresa Williams, performed with Jackson in the first half of the concert, including “My Opening Farewell,” this video clearly shows that she also reappears with an acoustic guitar in hand during the final songs, “Take It Easy” and “Our Lady Of The Well.”

　For those enthusiasts who might be thinking, “Does this mean the previous ‘PORT CHESTER 2015 SOUNDBOARD’ is no longer necessary?”, rest assured. While the previous release featured superb stereo soundboard audio, this time the video and audio are in mono.

　Furthermore, the video footage from the first day only includes “The Long Way Around” from the middle, and “The Pretender” and “Doctor My Eyes” are essentially not included. These points clearly indicate that the footage was shot solely for use in the venue lobby, and at the same time, you should understand that the value of last week’s stereo soundboard recording remains completely unchallenged.

　Above all, the picture quality is perfect, and it’s packed with highlights that can only be seen through video. As I mentioned earlier, the camera switching is very well done, and scenes like the one where the late Jeff Young provides backing vocals for Jackson are particularly moving now.

　On the contrary, the second day even includes some unexpected incidents. First, there’s the scene I mentioned in last week’s soundboard version where Jackson forgets the lyrics at the beginning of the new song “Leaving Winslow.” When you see it on video, it’s quite endearing to watch him chuckle and scold himself.

　And the ultimate highlight was the finale, “The Load-Out.” Just as they were about to start, the piano broke down. Jackson asked his roadie for help, but it seemed it couldn’t be fixed immediately. So he quickly grabbed his Stratocaster and launched into an incredibly rare performance, accompanying himself on guitar while singing from “The Load-Out” to “Stay.”

　This professionally shot footage boasts superb picture and sound quality, allowing viewers to fully enjoy two days of performances. But it also includes unexpected moments that seem to say, “You have to see this on video!” This is truly an astonishing unearthed video.
