★Perfect soundboard and never-before-seen multi-camera pro-shot footage!!

The 2015 Port Chester concert was highly acclaimed at the time as a soundboard recording of Plant’s latest tour. Ten years later, it has been revealed that the original source was actually the audio from professionally shot video footage taken by cameras installed at the venue.

This explains why the soundboard recording was monaural, but the image quality of the newly unearthed professional-shot footage is also superb. The camerawork is so refined that it’s hard to believe it wasn’t an official release and was only shown on monitors in the venue lobby.

Therefore, this time, we will be releasing a “superb coupling” that combines the familiar soundboard recording with newly discovered professional-shot footage from the same day.

Now that this is a live performance from 10 years ago, the rock-oriented playing by his backing band at the time—The Sensational Space Shifters—feels incredibly fresh. While Plant currently leads Saving Grace and is moving towards a more organic sound, he sounds surprisingly youthful here.

It’s only natural, considering it was 10 years ago, but seeing it in such perfect professional footage really makes you appreciate their youth and the coolness of their rock-oriented sound back then.

Furthermore, The Sensational Space Shifters had a very strong presence thanks to guitarist Justin Adams, and his aggressive stage presence is now a fond memory.

And above all, what’s truly refreshing is how actively they’re incorporating Led Zeppelin classics, something unimaginable from Plant’s current style. The show started off with a huge bang with “Trampled Under Foot,” and the subsequent “Black Dog” was incredibly exciting.

On the other hand, “The Rain Song” is performed with an arrangement closer to the studio version, and it’s absolutely superb. Plant still plays the song today, but the 2015 version, which maintains an arrangement close to that of “Houses of the Holy” while also working as a piano ballad, is overwhelmingly perfect.

The next song, “No Place To Go,” began with a snippet of “How Many More Times,” before surprisingly transitioning into “Dazed and Confused.” The following song, “The Lemon Song,” was also fantastic. Even just this much of the setlist, with its strong early Led Zeppelin feel, is incredibly refreshing—something that’s hard to imagine Plant doing now, or perhaps something that’s becoming difficult for him due to his age.
Furthermore, the performance of “Whole Lotta Love” is incredibly cool, with an atmosphere very similar to the Led Zeppelin studio version. On the other hand, the transition into Bo Diddley’s classic “Mona” as a medley is also superb.

Looking at it this way, this release captures Plant from 10 years ago, when he was confronting Led Zeppelin classics head-on in a way that is now shocking—a truly “ultimate coupling of pro-shot and soundboard footage”!
