Between 1976 and 1978 Stephen Stills released a couple of studio albums (“Illegal Stills” and “Thoroughfare Gap”) and from that period also date these live recordings taken from radio shows and collected by Homespun on an unofficial double CD that includes acoustic and electric performances. Then-recent songs like “Stateline Blues,” the title track from “Thoroughfare Gap,” and the cover of Buddy Holly’s “Not Fade Away” from the LP of the same name coexist in the setlist with multiple versions of “Treetop Flyer” (released on disc only in 1991 on “Still Alone”), “Myth Of Sisyphus” (from the 1975 album “Stills”), and Fred Neil’s “Everybody’s Talkin’,” with pieces from “Stephen Stills 2” (“Know You Got To Run,” “Word Game”) and “Long May Your Run” (“Black Coral”), with the outtake “You Can’t Catch Me” performed in a medley with Robert Johnson’s “Crossroads,” and with great classics from the solo repertoire, from Buffalo Springfield, and from CSN/CSN&Y (“Change Partners,” “4+20,” “Find The Cost Of Freedom” in a medley with “Daylight Again”, “Love The One You’re With”, “Helplessly Hoping”, “49 Bye-Byes”, “For What It’s Worth”)
