PINK FLOYD – JOURNEY: LIVE 1969

Released by Audio Vaults, as the title suggests this unofficial CD documents (drawing from an “audience” recording made by a member of the audience) one of the concerts in which Pink Floyd performed live the suite “The Journey” including songs released, in some cases with other titles, on the albums “More” and “Ummagumma” (“The Beginning” is “Green Is The Colour”, “Beset By Creatures Of The Deep” is “Careful With That Axe, Eugene”): it is the performance of 8 August 1969 at the 9th National Jazz Pop Ballads & Blues Festival held at the Plumpton Race Track in Streat, East Sussex, opened by “Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun” and “Cymbaline”; the second part of the disc draws from another “audience” recording and documents, not entirely, the concert of 6 December 1969 at the Afan Lido Sports Centre in Port Talbot, Wales.
