LEGENDARY RADIO BROADCASTS
An unofficial triple CD on the Left Field Media label collects live performances by Pink Floyd from old radio broadcasts from the 1970s. The first disc contains the entire “The Dark Side Of The Moon” performed on March 15, 1973 (two weeks after the album’s release) at the Spectrum Theater in Philadelphia during what is universally considered one of the best shows of that tour (Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Richard Wright and Nick Mason were then joined on stage by saxophonist Dick Parry and backing vocalists Nawasa Crowder, Mary Ann Lindsey and Phyllis Lindsey); the second one reproduces the show of June 17, 1975 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, during the “Wish You Were Here” tour and contains the first versions of “Sheep” and “Dogs” (respectively entitled “Raving And Drooling” and “You Gotta Be Crazy”) later recorded for “Animals” closing with a great performance of “Echoes”; the third one, recorded on February 1 of the same year in Vienna, Austria, dates back to one of the first dates of the same “In The Flesh Tour”, during which the English quartet was joined on stage by Parry and guitarist Snowy White.
