Description
Dear Boss releases on a limited edition colored bootleg vinyl (300 numbered copies) the radio recording of a famous concert held by Patti Smith at CBGB in New York on August 11, 1979 (the following month the singer and poet born in Chicago performed for the first time in Italy in two eagerly awaited and crowded concerts in Bologna and Florence). In the legendary New York club where a few years earlier she had taken her first steps as a punk performer, the singer then presented the album “Wave” released in stores in May, and whose set includes the singles “Frederick” and “Dancing Barefoot” as well as “Seven Ways Of Going”, while the rest comes from the three previous albums and “5-4-3-2-1” is a cover of a famous 1964 song by the British band Manfred Mann. The Patti Smith Group then included Lenny Kaye on guitar, Richard Sohl on piano, Ivan Král on bass and Jay Dee Daugherty on drums.
