is a live recording of Dr. John’s 1981 New Orleans Jazz Festival. This audience recording was only recently (June 2025) digitized for the first time, and it is very well recorded. The master has been further polished, and the missing parts have been carefully repaired and connected to create a commercial product. Dr. John released a piano accompaniment album that year, but this one features a unique funky band style that is perfect for New Orleans. On guitar is Leo Nocentelli, who is well known for his work with the Meters!
