Live at Swansea Football Ground, Swansea, Wales, UK 12th June 1976 STEREO SBD

UPGRADE & LONGER
Swansea is an undisputed classic among The Who’s 1976 live recordings, which are already blessed with sound sources. A perfect stereo soundboard recording that was recorded on a multi-track basis with the intention of releasing it, and has seen the light of day in the form of radio broadcasts and various official releases since the 1990s. “SWANSEA 1976” is a masterpiece that brings together the best sources of sound sources that exist across these items, and “DEFINITIVE SWANSEA 1976” is an eternal masterpiece that sells out no matter how many times it is released.
Not only is the sound quality outstanding due to the multi-track recording, but the performance is also extremely fulfilling. For example, the heart-warming performance of “Squeeze Box”, a familiar bonus track on the official “BY NUMBERS”, and the high-tension performance of the shortened version of “TOMMY” from 1975 to 1976, which is like a kind of fan service, are the best versions of the tour. In other words, the sound quality and performance are both excellent.
So this time, Swansea’s third release will be realized, but it is not just a reissue, “GRAF ZEPPELIN” has re-examined each sound source. First of all, the songs that were sold as official album bonuses are not reused from the 1996 remastered version until now, but this time we use the better finished 2011 remastered version. In addition, the radio broadcast part has been recombined with the best version to achieve the highest sound quality ever. And above all, “GRAF ZEPPELIN”‘s face is alive, as it brings together each source without making you feel the difference in sound quality.
In particular, the parts based on the radio broadcast reels had a noticeable distortion in the shortened version of “TOMMY,” especially in “The Acid Queen” and “Pinball Wizard.” However, in past releases, this issue seemed to have been overlooked, and this time, GRAF ZEPPELIN has thoroughly alleviated this problem. Compared to the previous two versions, the “TOMMY” part is now clearer and cleaner.
And above all, the overall sound quality itself is much milder and more natural than the previous two releases. Although it was originally a natural sound quality, this time the part taken from the official bonus in the first half of the live performance was replaced with the 2011 version, and “GRAF ZEPPELIN” re-compiled it, making it even milder to listen to.
The 1976 Swansea has been released in various forms from the LP itself because of its excellent sound quality, but this time, each part has been adjusted to the utmost by “GRAF ZEPPELIN”, and it has been reborn as the strongest 1976 stereo soundboard album that can be heard completely without any discomfort in total. It will be released for the third time.
The 1975-76 tour seemed to be influenced by Keith Moon’s behavior in many ways, but on this day Keith was in top form (although listening to the MC of “TOMMY” he doesn’t seem sober…wry smile), which was also a big factor. If he was in top form, the other members were in high spirits too… the best synergy is recorded on multi-track in this best 1976 tour recording. The performance and sound quality are superb, and the Who’s eternal masterpiece live recording that can be listened to quickly on one disc has been upgraded by “GRAF ZEPPELIN” without complaint. We promise that you can enjoy it with more peace of mind than ever before!
