This week, the unreleased soundboard “SAN DIEGO 1978 TOUR FINAL: SOUNDBOARD (Zodiac 742)” will blow your mind, but what’s even more amazing is the video version. Professional shots that no one has ever seen before are being unearthed almost every week.
　Up until now, there have been many road movies that accompanied historical festivals and debut tours, but this time it’s a PV production edition. It is a treasure that contains about 87 minutes of outtakes from the masterpiece “Hot For Teacher”. Many people may remember it because it is so intense, but the PV of “Hot For Teacher” is a performance type set in a school. A female teacher in a swimsuit dances sexily like a stripper, and the members dressed as comedians dance in tuxedos. It was a masterpiece with various scenes played out to a fast and aggressive beat. This work is a collection of those outtakes. In each small scene, they try different dance moves, or burst out laughing and get a NG. There are a lot of scenes that are similar but not the same as the finished version.

As usual, the “The Van Halen Chronicles” subtitles and time counters are displayed throughout, but the visual beauty is superb. It seems to have been created from the film itself, and there is no dubbing or aging at all, and it is super clear to every corner of the screen. It is as beautiful as the digitally remastered PV main part.
　What’s even more decisive is that it comes with sound. It’s unclear whether it’s included in the film itself or was added later, but the studio version of “Hot For Teacher” plays throughout the video.
