Description
In this limited edition double LP, the French bootleg label Verne Records collects, as the subtitle explains, BBC Sessions and outtakes from the first albums of Uriah Heep as well as the entire known repertoire of Spice, the psychedelic rock group founded by Mick Box (guitar) and David Byron (real surname Garrick) together with the drummer Alex Napier and the bassist (ex Gods) Paul Newton. The over 100 minutes of music recorded in the studio and live between 1968 and 1971 include songs performed for the radio program “Sound Of The Seventies, B-sides of singles and alternate takes published on the American editions of the LPs, outtakes from the albums “Salisbury” and “Look At Yourself” and eight songs by the aforementioned Spice: six intended for an album never completed in 1969, two released on a single published by United Artists. The cover details the authors and provenance of each individual song.
