　SANTANA in 1986, celebrating its 20th anniversary. A masterpiece pro shot that allows you to enjoy the anniversary concert is now available.

　This work was filmed at the “Mountain View” performance on August 17, 1986. It is a multi-camera pro shot capturing the “20th Anniversary Celebration Concert.” At the time, it was the “BEYOND APPEARANCES” era, but this era has recently seen the discovery of soundboards such as “CHICAGO 1985 SOUNDBOARD (Uxbridge 2680),” and above all, participation in “SOUND MARKET ’86” is also a memorable place. First, let’s unravel the overview of the activities at that time and check the relative positions of each.

　This is SANTANA in 1985/1986. After the legendary “SOUND MARKET ’86”, they toured Australia and Hawaii, then again across the US. The 20th anniversary concert of this work was held on the final day, which was the highlight of “North America # 4”.

　This show has long been known for its professional shots, but this work has been made into a DVD from the best existing master. It is not a broadcast, but the highest quality version created from a Low Gene VHS dubbed from the original master. In fact, its quality is unsurpassed, making it a treasure. As expected, the image quality itself is analog standard, as it is a 40-year-old video, and there is slight discoloration, but the screen, which is almost free of distortion and noise, is vivid in every corner and in every detail. Although it cannot be said to be completely official by modern standards, it is an “excavated official grade” that can be officially released as a highlight in a box set or similar.

　The beautiful visuals depict the full stage of a special 20th anniversary special. The show is divided into two parts, each recorded on one disc.

DISC 1: Part 1: “Regular SANTANA at the Time”
　The first part, which begins with an introduction by Bill Graham, features SANTANA on stage in 1986. The structure is similar to a regular concert such as “CHICAGO 1985 SOUNDBOARD,” with a generous performance time of approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. While killer songs like “Black Magic Woman/Gypsy Queen” and “Soul Sacrifice” are reserved for the second part, this is a masterpiece that can be enjoyed on its own as a pro shot of the “BEYOND APPEARANCES Tour.”

●DISC 2: Part 2: “Classic Lineup Reunion” Part
　2 is a special stage just for the 20th anniversary. Bill Graham reappears and introduces each member of “Santana III.” It’s a reunion concert featuring the 1971 members. But it’s not just a reunion. Current members who appeared in Part 1 also participate, and even Carlos’s brother Jorge Santana and Alex Ligertwood make an appearance.

　This was a once-in-20-years dream team collaboration, but the recording time was about 73 minutes. Combined with the first part, it was a long, spectacular concert of about 2 hours and 53 minutes.

　SANTANA’s 20th anniversary special concert, which took place two and a half months after the “SOUND MARKET ’86” concert. This is the best master of a masterpiece pro shot that lets you enjoy the whole picture. This DVD contains a two-disc set of visual beauty that transcends 40 years of time and space from the stage scene. Please enjoy it to your heart’s content.
