Description

Capital Centre, Largo, MD, USA 1st July 1975

The Rolling Stones’ 1975 Largo performance was held at the height of their power between MSG and the LA Forum, but until now there have been almost no items. No, the problem may have been that even though the sound source and items existed, they were not recorded in a state where they could be heard properly. In fact, when it was released only once, the pitch was “low” and the input level was “broken”, so it was not an item that could be heard as music even before the state of the original sound source.
Because of this, the Stones 1975 tour audience was overlooked by enthusiasts, perhaps Largo. There were two live performances in the same place, but the one released this time is the first day’s performance. For the reasons mentioned above, it is a rare mono audience that many enthusiasts will probably hear for the first time with this release.
When it comes to restoring such vintage sound sources, GRAF ZEPPELIN is a master. In fact, as a result of his skill being fully demonstrated, the first day of Lago, where the listening hurdle had been inadvertently raised due to the previous release issues, became much easier to listen to.
First of all, the pitch, which was slow from the stage when it was distributed among traders, has been adjusted firmly. This alone makes the original sound source much easier to hear, but “GRAF ZEPPELIN” does not end there. Even the sound blur on the left side of the beginning of “Wild Horses”, which was left unattended in the already released board, has been adjusted properly. And above all, there is no distortion of the sound that is unbearable to listen to, which was caused by excessive input. This difference is too big.
Thus, after careful restoration by “GRAF ZEPPELIN”, Lago was finally able to be heard normally (in every sense!), but enthusiasts will be surprised that the sound image is slightly distant in mono, but still fully audible. The processing of the item, which was released only once in the past, was too rough.
And the show that took place between MSG and the LA Forum couldn’t be bad. In fact, Mick was running through the day with the high tension that was typical of 1975, but his singing voice quickly became rough from “Gimme Shelter”. It’s only natural if you keep doing such intense and long live shows at every show.
From there, Mick continues to force his rough voice, but it was a blessing that the 1975 tour’s structure allowed him to rest his throat well. The long parts without singing, “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”, followed by songs such as “Happy” sung by Keith, helped his throat, which had been in a pretty rough state, to recover beautifully, and the miracle scene where he plays “Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)” with high tension was also captured.
Thanks to this, the high tension that seems to be from 1975 was revived from the middle of the live and continued until the end, but it was almost impossible to feel that much in past releases. This revival of Mick is really interesting on the first day of Largo. It was literally carefully made into a CD by “GRAF ZEPPELIN”, so it can be said that this is essentially the first release of the original sound source. Above all, the press CD release of the rare day that maniacs wanted to hear has finally been realized!

REMASTERED BY GRAF ZEPPELIN

★The rarely released ’75 Largo opening night recorded in mono Audio!

There is no distortion due to pitch and phase misalignment or level overshooting, as has been previously reported, and the overall frequency band has been carefully corrected with an emphasis on balance.
The sound distortion in the left channel at the beginning of Wild Horses has also been carefully corrected, so it is hardly noticeable during listening.

This is the definitive ’75 Largo opening day edition!
