ROLLING STONES – FROM THE HEART OF SCOTLAND: EDINBURGH 1982

The bootleg label Pigs On The Groove is releasing a three-LP set (crystal, red, and blue) in a limited edition of 320 numbered copies, the audio document of the third date of the Rolling Stones’ 1982 European tour, held on May 28 of that year at the Playhouse Theatre in Edinburgh, Scotland. The recording comes from a previously unused soundboard source, supplemented by a high-quality audience source. In a show that, after the first four British dates in clubs and theaters, moved to stadiums and arenas, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, Bill Wyman, and Charlie Watts were joined by Ian Stewart (piano), Chuck Leavell (keyboards), Bobby Keys (sax), and Gene Barge (sax), performing old classics alongside covers of the Temptations, the Big Bopper, and Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, as well as new songs from “Tattoo You” (released the previous year). The tri-fold cover is laminated both internally and externally, and the package includes a reproduction of the poster made for the tour in 70×50 cm format.
