Description
●A complete collection of early Rolling Stones recordings at the legendary Chicago Chess Studios

The legendary performances of the Brian Jones era were born here.
Thoroughly covers the Rolling Stones’ recordings at Chicago’s sacred Chess Studios, including unreleased tracks!
The Stones first visited the studio, home to their idols Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Howlin’ Wolf, and Bo Diddley, during their 1964 US tour. A historic recording, adorned with the legend that Muddy was painting the studio.
Chuck Berry himself visited to encourage them, saying “That’s good,” and the members excitedly performed songs like “Around and Around” and “Empty Heart.
” “It’s All Over Now,” their first UK number one hit, was also recorded here.
Brian Jones’ slide guitar awakened in the place where the giants of Chicago blues stood.
Muddy Waters’ cover of “I Can Be Satisfied” is sure to be a memorable performance in British rock history. Keith Richards delivers a string of Chuck Berry-inspired rock and roll guitar solos on tracks like “Down the Road, A Peace.”
However, perhaps the most fitting presence in this studio is the sixth member of the Stones, pianist Stu. His
Johnny Johnson-esque piano playing gets to the heart of rock and roll.
In November 1964, they visited Chess Studios again to record “Time Is on My Side.”
The following year, 1965, they recorded “West Coast Spokesman” and “Mercy, Mercy,” among others.
Many previously unreleased tracks such as “Stud and Keefed” and “Goodbye Girl” are included, but even the songs you know will sound even more authentically Stones, resonating with the “magnetic field of the legendary Chess Studios.”
This is a must-have recording collection for fans, marking the turning point where a London troublemaker, inspired by the blues, awakened in the hallowed grounds of the music scene and rose to become one of the world’s greatest rock bands. Includes detailed Japanese liner notes detailing the circumstances, anecdotes, and track listings.
