Released on Fairwell To A Friends Records, this unofficial, limited-edition box set (300 numbered copies, three colored LPs weighing between 180 and 220 grams) brings together for the first time on vinyl a wealth of rare outtakes and alternate takes spanning the Rolling Stones’ entire career. The program begins with recordings from 1964-65, made in London and at the legendary Chess Studios in Chicago (including a version of Dale Hawkins’ “Susie Q”) and extends to the very recent sessions held between 2024 and 2025 in Paris, London, and New York for the tribute to the “king of zydeco” Clifton Chenier (“Zydeco Sout Pas Salés,” with drummer Steve Riley); Among other gems, the War On Drugs remix of “Scarlet,” collaborations with Harvey Mandel (1975) and B.B. King (1997), and solo recordings by Keith Richards and Mick Jagger (including “Easy Sleazy” with Dave Grohl, recorded partly in Italy), while the title track “Alright Charlie” is an outtake from the 1993 sessions for the album “Voodoo Lounge.” The box set includes an illustrated booklet.
