Description
Yard Stick has released an unofficial CD of the radio recording of Roger Waters’ concert at the Newport Folk Festival on July 24, 2015. The English musician headlines a special show with the full My Morning Jacket band, Lucius, guitarist GE Smith, violinist Sara Watkins, and Amy Helm on backing vocals, opening with the first public performance of the previously unreleased “Crystal Clear Brooks.” In addition to songs by Pink Floyd (“Mother,” “Wish You Were Here,” “Brain Damage,” “Eclipse”) and his solo career (“The Bravery of Being Out of Range,” “Amused to Death”), Waters also performs one-off covers of his beloved John Prine (“Hello in There”), Buddy Miller (“Wide River to Cross”), and Bob Dylan (“Forever Young”).
