R.E.M. – LAWRENCE OPERA HOUSE 1982 (LP)

Description

Pressed in Germany on the Mini Puma Records label, this unofficial and limited edition LP contains the radio source recording of the concert that R.E.M. held at the Lawrence Opera House, in Kansas, on November 16, 1982. At the time, the Athens quartet had only released the debut single “Radio Free Europe” (present in the setlist with its B-side “Sitting Still”) and the EP “Chronic Town” (from which “Gardening At Night”, “Wolves, Lower” and “1,000,000” come), while “Moral Kiosk”, “Pilgrimage”, “9-9”, “Shaking Through” and “Catapult” would be released only the following year on the LP “Murmur”, “7 Chinese Brothers” and “Pretty Persuasion” in 1984 on “Reckoning” and “Romance” on the soundtrack of the film “Made In Heaven” in 1987.
