On February 2, 1981, The Police performed a famous concert at Tokyo’s Budokan Hall, recorded and broadcast on the radio at the time and now reproduced by Unicorn on an unofficial CD. Sting, Andy Summers, and Stewart Copeland were promoting their third album, “Zenyatta Mondatta,” released in October of the previous year. This 16-song set features six tracks from that album, including the hit singles “Don’t Stand So Close To Me” and “De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da,” as well as another song that would remain a regular on the singer and bassist’s solo concerts (“Driven To Tears”). the rest of the repertoire includes the highlights and the great hits of the two previous albums (“Walking On The Moon”, “Bring On The Night”, “The Bed’s Too Big Without You”, “Message In A Bottle”, “Roxanne”, “Can’t Stand Losing You”, “So Lonely”), the first single “Fall Out” and some more forgotten pieces like “Truth Hits Everybody” and “Deathwish”
