PINK FLOYD – TO CONTROL SPACE: LIVE 1969
$29.00
AUDIO VAULTS – 1 CD
Available on backorder
Description
Five extended versions of early Pink Floyd classics (ranging from the 8.5-minute “Astronomy Domine” to the 17-plus minute “Interstellar Overdrive”) make up this set recorded at St. James Hall in Chesterfield, England, on March 27, 1969 and now reissued on unofficial CD by Audio Vaults. This is obviously the most psychedelic and experimental post-Barrett Floyd, who nine months earlier had recorded “A Saucerful Of Secrets”: the title track of that album closes a performance that also features other essential classics of the era such as “Careful With That Axe, Eugene” and “Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun”.
01. Astronomy Domine 8.31
02. Careful With That Axe, Eugene 9.15
03. Interstellar Overdrive 17.07
04. Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun 12.21
05. A Saucerful Of Secrets 16.26
