PINK FLOYD – LIVE IN N.Y.C.: MADISON SQUARE GARDEN 1977 LP

Pressed in a limited and numbered edition on red vinyl, this unofficial LP on the Room On Fire label recovers from the radio broadcast of the WNEW-FM station the recording of a Pink Floyd show that took place on July 2, 1977 at Madison Square Garden in New York during the tour to promote the album “Animals” (the band had also performed at the same place the night before). The program, however, focuses on the complete performance of the previous album, “Wish You Were Here”, by Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Richard Wright and Nick Mason joined by Dick Parry on saxophone and the Blackberries (Venetta Fields and Carlena Williams) backing vocals.
