Description
The unofficial Parachute label splits into two volumes of two LPs each (pressed on colored vinyl in a limited and numbered edition) the famous and often bootlegged concert that Pink Floyd held on April 29, 1970 at the Fillmore West managed by promoter Bill Graham in San Francisco. This first part opens with the Roger Waters ballad “Grantchester Meadows” and contains, in addition to the outtake “Embryo”, the bucolic “Cymbaline” and the older “Astronomy Domine” written by Syd Barrett, a preview of the suite “Atom Heart Mother” performed without choir and orchestra (the album of the same name was in fact released the following October).
