ANDY CAPP – 2 LP
Description
Two limited-edition, numbered, color-coded LPs housed in colorful psychedelic covers reproduce, in this unofficial release on the Andy Capp label, the audience-sourced recording of Pink Floyd’s famous performance in London’s Hyde Park on July 18, 1970, during a free “Garden Party” organized in the large London park by management agency Blackhill Enterprises (also featuring performances by Third Ear Band, Kevin Ayers and the Whole World, the Edgar Broughton Band, and DJ Jeff Dexter). Pink Floyd’s show concluded with a version of the still-unreleased “Atom Heart Mother” (announced as “The Atomic Heart Mother”), performed by David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Richard Wright, and Nick Mason with the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble and the John Aldiss Choir. The second side of the second LP contains no music but a laser-engraved print.
