Description

Released on the Room On Fire label, “Eclipse” is an unofficial double LP containing, as the title suggests, songs performed by Pink Floyd during radio programs hosted by legendary DJ John Peel for the BBC. The songs on side one and the first track on side two are from the show held on July 16, 1970, at the Paris Theatre on Lower Regent Street, London, for “Peel’s Sunday Concert.” In the performance of “Atom Heart Mother,” David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Richard Wright, and Nick Mason are accompanied by the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble and the John Aldiss Choir. The closing songs, “One of These Days” and “Echoes,” are from the performance at the Paris Theatre on September 30, 1971, broadcast during the BBC Radio 1 program “Sound of the Seventies.”
