Description
Pressed in a limited edition (250 numbered copies) and on splatter vinyl, this unofficial double LP on the Headly Grange Records label contains the (incomplete) recording of the concert that Pink Floyd held on February 25, 1971 at the Grosser Saal of the Musikhalle in Hamburg, recorded and partially broadcast at the time by the German television station ZDF. As reported by the sticker on the cover, in the final performance of the “Atom Heart Mother” suite the English quartet was accompanied by a wind section and a choir conducted by Jeffrey Mitchell: describing the show, the reporter of the local newspaper “Hamburger Adenblatt” commented that “so many bootleggers and cassette recorder microphones had never been seen in an auditorium before”
