Description

Pressed in a limited edition (250 numbered copies) on splatter vinyl, this unofficial double LP on Headly Grange Records contains the (incomplete) recording of the concert Pink Floyd held on February 25, 1971, at the Grosser Saal of the Musikhalle in Hamburg, recorded and partially broadcast at the time by the German television station ZDF. As the sticker on the cover states, in the final performance of the “Atom Heart Mother” suite, the English quartet was accompanied by a horn section and a choir conducted by Jeffrey Mitchell. Reporting on the show, a reporter for the local newspaper “Hamburger Adenblatt” commented that “so many bootleggers and cassette recorder microphones had never been seen in an auditorium before.”
