Description
This unofficial LP documents a historic Pearl Jam performance, held on January 8, 1995, as part of an impromptu self-produced radio show (called “Self-Pollution Radio” or “Monkeywrench Radio”) conceived and hosted by Eddie Vedder from a rehearsal space he owned in Seattle and broadcast from there via satellite: Pearl Jam – with new drummer Jack Irons alongside Mike McCready, Stone Gossard, Jeff Ament and Vedder himself – used it to hold two mini concerts that were later broadcast by stations in New Orleans, Los Angeles, Detroit and New York. In the ten-song live set reproduced here, the American band (who in their radio show would also host Soundgarden, Mudhoney, the Fastbacks and the nascent Mad Season) performs seven songs from the recent “Vitalogy” including the singles “Spin The Black Circle”, “Not For You” and “Immortality” and the future classic “Corduroy”, adding “Blood” and “Indifference” from the previous “Vs.” and “Porch” from the debut “Ten”.
