“Wings Greatest” was Paul McCartney’s first original best-of album of the 1970s. It features a selection of the best tracks from “Another Day,” his first solo single since the Beatles’ breakup in 1971, through to “With a Little Luck,” released with Wings in 1978. It also includes singles that weren’t included on the album, such as “They’re the Ones Who Die,” “Junior’s Farm,” and “Dream Traveler.” “Wings Greatest Unreleased” is an alternate collection of previously unreleased material, featuring newly remixed and remastered tracks, plus six additional tracks not featured on the album, for a total of 18 tracks. This newly edited and revised version differs from previous releases on the same label, featuring newly selected multi-track remixes and significantly improved sound quality. CD2 features a newly remastered, unreleased master recording of “Wings Greatest,” previously unreleased by Steve Hoffman’s DCC (Audio Fidelity CD) remaster as the “Original Analog Masters.” Unlike standard digitally remastered CDs, this faithfully reproduces the analog master, making the difference clear when compared to the highly acclaimed original recordings. Additionally, “Promotional Single Tracks” have been added. These are single promo edit mono recordings for radio broadcast, all directly copied from the original masters and newly restored. This is the 2025 new edition from the DAP label, completely renewed in both content and sound quality!
