album “Venus and Mars”, released under the name of Wings in 1975, was evaluated as a masterpiece that showed Paul McCartney’s true talent. This album symbolizes the heyday of Wings, when the band members were replaced and Wings started in earnest on the premise of the first large-scale US tour since the breakup of the Beatles, after the previous album “Band on the Run” was a huge hit. It was recorded mainly in New Orleans and Los Angeles, and the pre-release single “A Girl Who Loves Me” reached No. 1 in the US. “Wine-Colored Girl (Letting Go)” and “Rock Show” were also released as singles. This Anniversary Collector’s Edition, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the album’s release, includes the latest compilation of album-related sounds and images, including rare, officially unreleased sound sources. CD1 contains the rough mix album from March 1975 before the album was completed, and even earlier outtakes, all in the latest upgraded sound source. Although there have been many similar session sound sources in the past, this time it is recorded in the best quality ever. Some songs are recorded from the original sound source that is longer than before, and the difference is clear when compared, and it is an interesting sound source that records the precious recording session. CD2 contains a sound source that was once released in limited quantities in 1996 and 2001 and is now out of print, and has been converted to stereo from the DTS surround CD. This sound source has been known as a sound source with a different mix from the normal one, but this time it has been reproduced in a new stereo remaster with a new edit. The second half contains a collection of demos and session sound sources that you cannot miss. The DVD contains video footage and audio sections, and the video collection contains footage of album-related promos and live performances. This is a must-see video that clearly shows the difference from the previously available ones in the best quality of the latest updated high-definition HD remaster in 2025. In the audio DVD section, the latest Atmos multi-channel and DTS surround are recorded in Dolby Stereo and 5.1 surround sound sources. Both Atmos and DTS multi-channel sound sources require dedicated equipment, and the playback environment is difficult, but here you can easily compare the sound differences by playing DVD video.
