While Oasis was rocking the Tokyo Dome, Paul’s latest “GOT BACK” tour was playing a live show in San Antonio, Texas. The videos from that day have surfaced on YouTube, and they’re all of excellent quality and well worth watching. So, a deluxe title combining two different videos has been decided for release!
　The first disc features footage by someone named “JasonJude.” This footage is impressive, with close-ups of Paul from the chest up throughout. There are many cuts between songs, and the angle even pulls back for “My Valentine.” The shot isn’t shot too far forward, making the most of the zoom feature, which can sometimes result in noticeable camera shake.
　Even if you take that into account, the close-up angles are excellent. In particular, “Dance Tonight” is impressive because it shows Abe, the drummer performing his familiar dance behind Paul, and Brian, the bassist, all in one angle.
　After that, when it came to the Paul Singing Corner, the back screen production and close-ups blended in so well that it almost felt like a “pro shot.”
　On the other hand, the video released by someone named “Patrick Zapata” was shot from a position even further to the left of the stage than the “JasonJude” version, and does not offer the same close-up shots as the “JasonJude” version.
　On the other hand, it was shot in a very calm environment, with no cuts between songs, resulting in a running time of 14 minutes longer than the “Jason Jude” version. The angle is also just long enough to avoid camera shake, which is also appealing.
　That said, as the live show progressed, they also tried their best to get close-up shots, and by the acoustic corner “Love Me Do,” they were finally able to get up close and personal with Paul from his waist up, creating a very impressive angle.
　Another big attraction here is the high quality of the audio, and in the repertoire “Now And Then,” which is the selling point of the current tour, Paul’s voice sounds more prominent than the band members singing in unison, which is also an attractive balance.
　What comes across from both videos is that Paul is truly enjoying the live shows on this tour. He really wants to keep performing live as long as he can! His determination is clearly conveyed.
　The highlight was the happy happening where a man and woman who had been announcing their intention to get married even before “Dance Tonight” were finally brought on stage before “Let It Be” and proposed marriage to each other with Paul as their matchmaker.
　What’s more, the woman is dressed in a one-piece dress from “ANTHOLOGY 2,” while the man is dressed in a cosplay imitating Paul from “MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR,” and the footage perfectly captures a truly peaceful scene. Indeed, with each of the latest audience videos having their own appeal, it was only natural to pair them together!
