Description
Live at Lenin Stadium, Moscow, Russia 13th August 1989 PRO-SHOT(2 Versions)
This set features two of the finest professional shots of Ozzy Osbourne, who appeared at the last historic festival of the 1980s.
This work contains two videos of one show. It is a multi-camera pro shot of the “August 13, 1989 Moscow Music Peace Festival Performance.” At the time, Ozzy was in the “NO REST FOR THE WICKED Tour” era, featuring his old friend Geezer Butler and new partner Zakk Wylde. Speaking of representative footage from that time, “PHILADELPHIA 1989 (Shades 2417)” reigns supreme as a symbol, but the Moscow performance pro shot is one of the two greatest peaks alongside it. This is a good opportunity, so let’s first take a bird’s-eye view of the activities at the time and check the positional relationship between the two.

August: Geezer Butler leaves the band
This is Ozzy Osbourne from the “NO REST FOR THE WICKED” era. “Moscow Music Peace Festival” is the very last of the world tour. In particular, the “August 13” performance of this work was the second day of the two-day event and the final performance worldwide.
Such shows have been known for being broadcast on TV since then, and some have even been used in official video productions. They have reigned as a major staple in the “NO REST FOR THE WICKED” era. This work is a recording of such iconic pro shots with the finest master. Moreover, it is a set of two versions with different contents. Now, let’s introduce the two versions individually.
[DISC 1: Highest Quality Edition by a Master Leaked by an Involved Person]
First up is the highest quality version of the iconic footage. It’s a master leaked by an involved person, and its quality is completely official. Although it’s a video master, it’s vivid and clear even to modern eyes accustomed to digital. Moreover, it’s natural because it’s not a vividness forcibly created by digital processing. Although it’s been several years since its discovery, it’s still the highest quality version that has never been surpassed.

[DISC 2: A Different Angle Version Produced by an Overseas Fan]
DISC 2 is a different version recently produced by an overseas fan. This footage comes from various versions, including the MTV broadcast version, the Soviet broadcast version, and the official LD release version, and is sourced from the best takes of each song. It is a reconstruction of the full set (the version uploaded to a certain major video site is missing “War Pigs,” but this is the complete version).

In fact, if we’re talking simply about quality, DISC 1 may be the best take of all the songs, but the key point of this video is that it also features “another angle.” Please don’t get me wrong, but this other angle is not the previous day, “August 12th” (the difference between the two days is clear if you look at Ozzy’s costume, “August 13th” is torn and one shoulder is exposed). Although it’s all “August 13th,” there are songs with completely different angles in the product version and other broadcasts, and you can enjoy all the songs while mixing them.
That said, not all songs are shot from different angles. Keeping that in mind, let’s organize the full set on the day.
●Sabbath era (3 songs)
: Sweet Leaf (★), War Pigs, Paranoid (★)
●Solo (7 songs)
: Randy era: I Don’t Know (★), Flying High Again, Suicide Solution (★), Crazy Train
; Jake era: Shot In The Dark (★)
; Zack era: Miracle Man, Tattooed Dancer
*Note: Songs marked with “★” have different angles on discs 1 and 2.

…And thus, there are different angles for five of the ten songs performed on the day. This work also includes an additional bonus, “I Don’t Know” from the previous day, “August 12th.” This is a rare Soviet broadcast version.
Regardless of the angle, we would like you to pay attention to “Tattooed Dancer”. This is a limited song only for the “NO REST FOR THE WICKED Tour”, and this work on the final day is the last performance in history. Not only that, the arrangement is also a point.
Starting with “PHILADELPHIA 1989,” Randy Castillo’s drum solo is usually inserted in the middle of concerts, but at the Moscow festival, it was performed without a solo as in the original. As a result, the already cool and fast-paced masterpiece is blown up with stage tension, and the momentum runs uninterrupted until the end, resulting in a gem of a version. This work allows you to see such a great performance with completely official quality.
The Moscow Music Peace Festival, a major event in music history featuring Geezer Butler and Zakk Wylde, is a definitive compilation that brings together two of the finest professional shots. Disc 1 is the best of all time, while Disc 2 offers a different angle. Enjoy to your heart’s content!
