Description
Teatro Monumental, Santiago, Chile 8th September 1995 PRO-SHOT
Ozzy Osbourne returned to active duty in 1995 with Joe Holmes as his new partner. This is a full pro shot of a rare era.
This work was filmed at the September 8, 1995, Santiago concert. It’s a multi-camera pro-shot. Collectors worldwide are currently looking back on Ozzy’s life, but the Joe Holmes era is particularly noteworthy. Despite his five-and-a-half-year reign, he failed to produce any official works. This is why there’s such a demand for official archival soundboards and pro-shots. The epicenter of this era is South America in 1995. There’s been a flurry of buzz, including the recently acclaimed “MONSTERS OF ROCK ARGENTINA 1995 (Shades 2418)” and this week’s release of the classic “BUENOS AIRES 1995 2ND NIGHT SOUNDBOARD (Zodiac 782).” To understand the situation, let’s first take a look at the position of this work by summarizing his activities at the time.

This is Ozzy Osbourne in 1995. Alex Skolnick only auditioned and was rejected. It was Joe Holmes who secured the official guitar position. “North America #1” was merely a warm-up for the new system, and the “South America” leg was the real start. Although it was only five performances, it produced a huge number of killer masterpieces. Our shop also archives them as the best master. Let’s focus on the dates and check out the lineup.

All five performances above. “MONSTERS OF ROCK ARGENTINA 1995” and “BUENOS AIRES 1995 2ND NIGHT” were soundboard albums based on FM broadcasts, but the gift work “LUSTRUM OF HOLMES” and this work are pro-shot works based on TV broadcasts.
This work, which conveys such a show, is the best existing master. While the analog feel is undeniable due to the 1990s TV broadcast, there are no traces of rough dubbing that were common in South America, and there is no white line noise. It is difficult to claim that this is “completely official!” according to modern standards in the heyday of digital, but there is no doubt that it is the highest peak I have ever seen.
Such beautiful images depict the precious full show of the Joe Holmes era. The aforementioned “LUSTRUM OF HOLMES” was a compilation of two short broadcasts, but this work is a long pro shot of about 100 minutes. There are no overlapping songs, and you can enjoy a large number of masterpieces. Let’s organize them here by comparing them.

…and so it goes. While the rare “I Just Want You” from “Ozzmosis” is eye-catching, even more impressive is the generous selection of BLACK SABBATH tracks. In 1995, Sabbath was experiencing a resurgence in popularity, but a full-scale reunion hadn’t yet materialized. As a result, Ozzy Osbourne’s solo album is packed with Sabbath tracks. “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath,” a signature track he never sang in the ’70s, is a particularly delicious track. And above all, the Joe Holmes touch runs throughout the album. At the time, Holmes’ background as a Randy Rhoads disciple garnered attention, but his unique blend of Zack Holmes’ influences gives every track, including the Sabbath tracks, his signature touch.
Despite his long reign, surpassing even Jake and Zack, the Joe Holmes era lacks any official albums. This is a full, professionally shot, top-notch master version that will satisfy that thirst. With Ozzy’s entire career in the spotlight, this is a hidden era that you should definitely experience. Please enjoy it to the fullest.
★ Multi-camera pro shot of “Santiago performance on September 8, 1995”. While the analog feel is undeniable due to the 90s TV broadcast, there are no traces of rough dubbing that were common in South America, and there is no white line noise. Even in the Joe Holmes era, when there are no official works, this is a pro shot masterpiece that allows you to enjoy an even more valuable full show.
