Ultimate Compilation of Promo Clips 1970-2025
From his 1970 debut “Black Sabbath” to his new song “Gods of Rock n Roll,” released just five months before his death, this comprehensive collection of music videos from the dark king, Ozzy Osbourne, has been released! This massive collection, more than double the volume of the official “MEMOIRS OF A MADMAN,” will be released on four discs!
This album contains a collection of music videos for 61 songs. It is a pro-shot compilation that brings together all the clips produced throughout Ozzy’s life. When you think of Ozzy’s music videos, the official DVD “MEMOIRS OF A MADMAN” comes to mind, but that only contained 28 songs. This album is the ultimate collection that covers all of those songs and more than doubles the amount.
Moreover, this work is a four-disc set with each disc dividing up Ozzy’s history into chapters. While adhering to the chronological order, it is structured to be enjoyable for individual fans of each era. Let’s introduce each one individually.
●DISC 1: Chapter 1 “Debut with Sabbath / The Randy & Jake Era”
The first disc, Disc 1, contains 16 songs spanning the years 1970 to 1987, from his 1970 debut to his solo career and the Jake E. Lee era.
The music industry saw the heyday of music videos with the launch of MTV (1981), but Ozzy Osbourne only produced nine music videos by 1987. This would leave out the most important early Black Sabbath and Randy Rhoads eras in the King’s career, so this release complements the official live studio footage of “Beat-Club” and “After Hours,” which serve as music videos. While many of the videos are familiar from the most lucrative period of Ozzy Osbourne’s career, the panoramic view of the best existing masters is spectacular.
Among them, “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath” is surprisingly rare. The official video “STORY VOLUME 1” is famous, but it was re-edited to be shorter, and the sound and video were out of sync. This release is different, featuring the original version that was recently released. You can also see P.G.’s slouching, which wasn’t in the official video.
Another point is “Shot In The Dark.” Due to a feud with composer Phil Susan, it was not included in the official “MEMOIRS OF A MADMAN,” but this work contains the highest version created from the analog master of “Rock America,” the largest music video company before the launch of MTV.
●DISC 2: Chapter 2 “Meeting My Friend Zack / Retirement Announcement / Guest Co-starring”
Next up is a collection of 16 tracks spanning from “No Rest for the Wicked,” when he met his late-career partner Zakk Wylde, to his retirement in 1993. Around this time, MTV was at its peak, and music videos skyrocketed. Not only is the number of videos impressive, but the diverse and intricately crafted videos make this a highlight of the album.
This album features a lineup of great music videos from “NO REST FOR THE WICKED,” “NO MORE TEARS,” and “LIVE & LOUD,” but also includes the “collaboration music videos” that were a defining feature of this period. These include “Close My Eyes Forever” with Lita Ford, which reached No. 8 on the US charts, the highest chart Ozzy Osbourne album of his career; “Hey Stoopid” with Alice Cooper, who both became known as the “Prince of Darkness”; and “I Ain’t No Nice Guy,” a collaboration with Lemmy that produced one signature song after another. This album offers a glimpse into the diverse career of Ozzy Osbourne that cannot be seen from his solo albums alone.
Particularly rare is “Bombers (Can Open Bomb Bays)” by Bill Ward, a close friend of Black Sabbath. This was his first solo album, “WARD ONE,” and he also appears in the music video. (By the way, Ozzy also appeared on WAS (NOT WAS)’s “Shake Your Head” during this period, but he only sang the chorus and didn’t appear in the music video, so he’s not included on this album.)
●DISC 3: Chapter 3 “Resurrection of the Emperor (Return to Active Duty)”
Disc 3, the middle part of the album, contains 14 tracks from their return to the studio, spanning the period from 1995’s “Ozzmosis” to 2010’s “Scream.”
While most of these PVs are covered in the official “MEMOIRS OF A MADMAN” album, they’re still not complete. This album also includes “Shock the Monkey,” a collaboration with Coal Chamber, and a cover of John Lennon’s “How?”, the latter of which is an official cover not even included on the cover album “UNDER COVER.”
●DISC 4: Chapter 4 “Reunited Sabbath / Later Years”
The final disc, Disc 4, covers everything from Black Sabbath’s reunion during the “13” era to their final single, “Gods of Rock N Roll,” released in 2025, the year of their death. None of this material is included on the official DVD, “Memories of a Madman.”
The album primarily features classic tracks from “13,” “ORDINARY MAN,” and “PATIENT NUMBER 9,” but it also includes more. It also includes a live clip of “Paranoid,” announcing Sabbath’s comeback, an animated music video for “Crazy Train,” and a music video for “Hellraiser,” featuring the late Lemmy. Unlike the “NO MORE TEARS” version, “Hellraiser” is a new version featuring a duet between Ozzy and Lemmy, and the music video, while animated, features the two legends wreaking havoc in a sci-fi world.
Rounding out this epic four-disc set are “Crack Cocaine” and “Gods of Rock N Roll.” These songs were originally released as Billy Morrison songs, but the spectacular collaboration between Ozzy and Steve Stevens also garnered attention. “Gods of Rock N Roll” in particular is a brand new song that was only released on February 17, 2025, just five months before Ozzy’s death. The orchestral accompaniment creates a truly moving atmosphere, and the last song of the King’s life is “Gods of Rock N Roll”… Ozzy, aren’t you looking too cool?
From the Birmingham bells of “Black Sabbath” to the deeply moving “Gods of Rock n Roll,” this is a collection of 61 songs and 4 hours and 44 minutes of superb music videos left behind by the king of rock, Ozzy Osbourne. This four-disc set celebrates his glorious 55-year career, far surpassing the official music video collection. Enjoy the life of Ozzy Osbourne, told through the best existing masters, to your heart’s content.
From his debut single “Black Sabbath” to his new song “Gods of Rock n Roll,” released just five months before his death, this comprehensive 4-hour, 44-minute music video collection features all 61 songs Ozzy left behind throughout his career. The number of tracks, including collaborations with Sabbath and other guests, is more than double the number on the official “MEMOIRS OF A MADMAN” album, and all of them are compiled with the best existing masters. This is the ultimate 4-disc set celebrating his glorious life.
