The American market may have been the only obstacle for Oasis, who have been on a winning streak since their debut. This isn’t something that’s unique to Oasis, but it’s common for rock bands that are popular in the UK to struggle in the American market. A typical example is Blur’s lack of enthusiasm for their performance at last year’s Coachella Festival, which even made the news.

However, the current reunited Oasis is in a completely different situation. After announcing their world tour, they chose to hold all of their North American tour dates in gigantic stadiums, just like in the UK. Before their breakup, Oasis often performed arena-class shows in North America, so this increase in scale was astounding. What’s more, all of these gigs sold out in record time! The time had finally come for Oasis to settle their score and literally show off their performance as a historic, mega-rock band.

This work is a complete recording of the first day performance at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, which took place on August 31st, from the North American tour, with the best audience shots.

Oasis delivered a rock-solid performance for this huge concert, which attracted 70,000 people per day. Liam’s performance was just as perfect as his UK tour. While this is an audience shot, the audio recording is of extremely high quality, allowing you to fully enjoy his performance. And as if responding to that, the audience’s excitement can be clearly felt from the audio. It’s not a jizo statue, but a fantastic show that rivals anything in the UK! The singalongs are also perfect, and the quality is completely different from 16 years ago!

Additionally, the most important point of this work is the camerawork and its image quality! It’s a long live performance of about two hours, but every unnecessary shot has been eliminated, and the focus is solely on the members on stage. What’s more, this close-up footage is incredibly beautiful, with no image quality degradation! Audience shots taken with digital zoom from a long distance often have such poor image quality that it’s impossible to see the expressions of the members on stage, but this work doesn’t have that problem at all! Even Joey Waronker’s expression as he sits at the drum set at the very back of the stage is clearly visible! This is amazing!

Another nice thing is that the camera angle focuses on the band members on stage, allowing viewers to clearly see the performances of band members who have supported Oasis for many years, such as Gem Archer and Andy Bell, who don’t appear very often on the back screen.

Oasis’ North American tour has just begun, but it’s already looking like it’ll be a huge success. This film is a first-class documentary that lets you fully enjoy Oasis’ “revenge”! The picture and sound quality are both superb. Enjoy!
