Description

In 1999, while recording a new album, early band members Bonhae and Guigsy left the band. Despite concerns about the band’s future, Noel and Liam held a press conference, stating, “Oasis’ future is secure. This story and its glory will continue.” Soon after, Gem and Andy joined the band as new members. A mini-tour of the US at the end of 1999 was likely intended as a test run for the new members in preparation for the larger tour planned for the following year, 2000.

　This album covers the entire US mini-tour in December 1999. The December 11, 1999 release, previously titled “Helter Skelter Christmas,” featured three spectacular cuts: “Supersonic,” “Champagne Supernova,” and “Helter Skelter.”

　A later release titled “Helter Skelter Christmas Fixed” filled in the missing parts with a different source, but the audio quality was noticeably different, creating a distorted, jarring sound with the edited sections. It also had a more fatal flaw: the missing opening track of “Champagne Supernova” was not the actual performance, but a repurposed recording from a performance in Philadelphia on December 3, 1999. This release, by contrast, features the exact audio from the day, including Liam’s MC, which was missing from the previously released recording. Oasis’s longtime allies,

　Bonehead and Giggsy, have both left the band. What was next for Oasis? This release features the complete 1999 North American mini-tour, which fans worldwide eagerly watched, shortly after the new members joined. This beautifully pressed, picture-perfect edition offers a truly lasting legacy.
