The number one cause of death in Japan is malignant tumors, or cancer, with one in four people dying from cancer. Cancer is said to develop when multiple abnormalities accumulate in specific parts of DNA, and everyone is at risk. It develops accidentally, and occurs not only in the elderly but also in young people and newborns, a situation that is common around the world. The UK’s Teenage Cancer Trust is a support charity organization to improve the condition of cancer among young people. They are engaged in activities such as improving the facilities of hospitals for cancer patients and training specialized staff. As part of fundraising, concerts are regularly held by famous artists who agree with the purpose. Oasis is also a regular performer, and even after their breakup, Liam and Noel have continued to perform as solo artists. Noel’s performance history is as follows.

Oasis appeared at TEENAGE CANCER TRUST three times, in 2002, 2003, and 2007. In 2007, they performed acoustically instead of with a band, as an extension of the acoustic tour by Noel and Gem following the release of “STOP THE CLOCKS”. However, the STOP THE CLOCKS tour was held under the name “NOEL GALLAGHER & GEM FROM OASIS” since it was a tour accompanying the Oasis best album, but the 2007 TEENAGE CANCER TRUST was under Noel’s name alone.

Noel appeared at the 2007 TEENAGE CANCER TRUST under his own name for two days on March 26th and 27th. The concert on the second day, the 27th, was released as a newspaper supplement under the title “THE DREAMS WE HAVE AS CHILDREN”, but only 11 of the 16 songs were included, and the remaining 5 songs could only be listened to by download. Moreover, all the intervals between songs were cut. The bayswater label’s “LET YOUR LOVE LAY ME DOWN” (4CD+DVD) contains all the songs completely and uncut. In this way, the second day could be listened to on a soundboard. However, the concert on the first day, the 26th, has never been released before, and this is the first time it has been released. It is also noteworthy that “Strawberry Fields Forever” is included in the set list as an encore only on the first day.

The second half of disc 2 is a live performance from Manchester VERSUS CANCER, also a cancer-related event, held in Manchester on March 30th, 2007. A total of 10 songs were performed at the concert to raise funds for Manchester Christie Hospital, a cancer treatment hospital. Noel seems to have a special attachment to cancer prevention, both in the Teenage Cancer Trust and the Versus Cancer. Two performances

are recorded: the first live performance, Teenage Cancer Trust, held on March 26th, 2007, and Manchester Versus Cancer, held on March 30th, 2007, the final day of the acoustic live performance that Noel and Gem have been holding since 2006. Paul Weller makes a guest appearance on both stages. A beautiful picture disc with a sturdy press for permanent preservation.
