Sonic Boom reissues on CD a famous Nirvana bootleg originally released in 1994 under the full title “Outcesticide II: The Needle And The Damage Done.” The twenty-one tracks on the setlist include live recordings, rarities, demos, alternate takes, remixes, and acoustic versions of more or less well-known songs from Kurt Cobain’s band (including classics like “In Bloom,” “Lithium,” and two versions of “Smells Like Teen Spirit”), as well as some covers such as Leadbelly’s “Where Did You Sleep Last Night,” The Who’s “Baba O’ Riley,” the famous version of David Bowie’s “The Man Who Sold The World,” and a parody of The Doors’ “The End.” “Imodium” is an early version of “Breed,” with different lyrics, and “Oh, The Guilt,” a rarely performed live song released on a split single with “The Jesus Lizard.”
