This latest upgraded version features the highest quality audience recording of a secret gig at the Catalyst Club, acclaimed among fans as one of the first great performances of the 1990s. Since its release on “FEEDBACK IS BACK,” various titles have been released, but Doberman’s CD-R “WARPATH” is currently considered the definitive version. However, the natural “FEEDBACK…” is incomplete, while the complete and highest-quality “WARPATH” suffers from ear-splitting distortion in the intro to “Farmer John” due to mastering with increased input levels. This latest release, however, utilizes newly available recordings to deliver the most natural sound quality and recording duration yet, resulting in the definitive version. A key feature of this release is its distortion-free listening experience, with even minor noises removed as much as possible. And just because it’s a day that has a reputation as a masterpiece, the best performances of killer numbers such as “Cowgirl In The Sand” and “Like A Hurricane” and rare numbers such as “T-Bone” and “Surfer Joe And Moe The Sleaze” can be enjoyed with the best sound quality. The final definitive version of the classic sound source will be released on a limited 3-disc press CD.

　Since the release of the nostalgic “FEED BACK IS BACK,” the 1990 Catalyst public rehearsal has garnered immense acclaim among fans as a renowned performance and recording. In the 21st century, the CD-R recording of Doberman’s “WARPATH”—the longest and highest-quality recording—has been considered the definitive version. However, in addition to its classic CD-R release, it also had the drawback of being mastered at a high input level, resulting in deafening distortion at the beginning of “Farmer John.” The original recording itself has periodically surfaced online, and it’s puzzling why a new definitive version hasn’t yet been released. While the source material for this release is also from the internet, it’s not only a pressing of the disc, but also a carefully recorded version that surpasses “WARPATH” in length, with careful attention to input level and other details, and without the distortion of the previous recording. It’s undoubtedly the new definitive version. This even extends the gaps between the opening track “Country Home” and the end of “Don’t Cry No Tears.” Above all, the recording boasts exceptionally clear, easy-to-listen-to sound quality, and includes some of the band’s best performances of “Cowgirl in the Sand” and “Like a Hurricane” (the former of which is particularly impressive), their first performances of the ’90s with Crazy Horse, their first performance of “Surfer Joe and Moe the Sleaze” since ’87, and a rare rendition of “T-Bone” that remains unheard of until now. The performance, sound quality, and track selection make this the definitive recording of a show that remains in top condition. This is an item that can be enjoyed with confidence by beginners and enthusiasts alike.
