This is a live recording from France on February 16, 1988. This live recording has been released over the years and has spawned numerous titles thanks to its excellent soundboard quality. Initially, the venue was listed as the Palais Paul Videl. It has now been identified as the Théâtre Colonne, and that is the venue credited. This is said to be the last live performance of Miles Davis’s band with bassist Darryl Jones, who is well-known for his work with the Rolling Stones. The sound has been remastered to slightly enhance the bass, but as mentioned above, the original sound quality was already quite high, so you may not notice much of an improvement. A must-have for those who don’t already own it, and highly recommended for beginners.
