$39.00

IDS – 1 LP WHITE VINYL

Description

Pressed on limited-edition white vinyl by IDS, this unofficial LP contains most of the tracks that Mick Jagger, instigated by producer Rick Rubin, recorded in June 1992 at the Ocean Way Recording studio in Hollywood with the Los Angeles bar band the Red Devils. In a single thirteen-hour session, the Rolling Stones frontman, who had sung a couple of songs with the group in concert on stage at the King King club in Los Angeles the month before, recorded thirteen blues standards with Blasters drummer Bill Bateman, bassist Jonny Ray Bartel, guitarists Dave Lee Bartel and Paul “The Kid” Size and singer/harmonica player Lester Butler: among the ten included on this album are classics taken from the repertoire of T-Bone Walker (“Mean Old World”), Little Walter (“Blues With A Feeling”), Elmore James (“Talk To Me Baby”), Bukka White (“Shake ‘Em On Down”) and Sonny Boy Williamson (“Checkin’ Up On My Baby”, the only recording to officially appear on an album, “The Very Best Of Mick Jagger”, in 2007).
