Description
Printed in just 500 copies, the box set containing five colored LPs and a 12-page booklet documents, drawing on unofficial recordings, the fifth and final concert Led Zeppelin held in 1975 at Earl’s Court in London before a temporary farewell to live activity (later resumed in 1977). This is the show of May 25th, 226 minutes of music reproduced in its entirety and condensing one of the salient moments of the English quartet’s career. Opening with “Rock And Roll” and closing with “Communication Breakdown,” the overwhelming performance includes highlights from the recent “Physical Graffiti,” the acoustic section and the usual expanded versions of “Dazed And Confused” (32 minutes, with a reference to Scott McKenzie’s “San Francisco”) and “Moby Dick” (over 21 minutes), while in “Whole Lotta Love” Jimmy Page and company include a hint of their “The Crunge.”
