LED ZEPPELIN – HOT LONDON (LP)

Description

A classic Led Zeppelin bootleg is back in circulation on vinyl with the Room On Fire label: it’s from the concert Led Zeppelin performed on June 27, 1969, at London’s Playhouse Theatre for the BBC program “Radio 1 In Concert,” hosted by John Peel. In addition to the Yardbirds’ instrumental “White Summer,” the English band performed five songs from their first album, closing the show with a 16-minute version of “Dazed and Confused,” a blues/psychedelic reworking of a song by American singer-songwriter Jake Holmes (who was uncredited at the time). The total running time of the performance is over 54 and a half minutes.
