Description

Pressed in a limited edition on yellow vinyl, this unofficial double LP has an ambiguous title; it’s not a collection of radio sessions but rather broadcast recordings of concerts that predate the release of Led Zeppelin’s fourth album. Six tracks are from the Osaka show on September 29, 1971, five from the Toronto show on September 4, one from the Hampton, Virginia, show on September 9, and one from the Orlando, Florida, show on August 31. The setlist includes several previews from the new album (“Black Dog,” “Stairway to Heaven,” “Going to California,” “Rock and Roll”), classics from the first three LPs, and absolute rarities like “Friends,” apparently played live only once by the quartet, and that was in Osaka.
