Description

Pressed in just 350 individually numbered copies on splatter vinyl with a picture side, these three unofficial LPs contain the soundboard recording of Led Zeppelin’s concert at the Liverpool Empire on January 14, 1973, two and a half months before the setlist, featuring several tracks from the still-unreleased “Houses Of The Holy” (“Over the Hills and Far Away,” “Dancing Days,” “The Song Remains The Same,” “The Rain Song,” and the closing “The Ocean”). After the opening track “Rock And Roll”, several references to the great classics from the four previous albums emerge: “San Francisco” by Scott McKenzie during the improvisations of “Dazed And Confused”, “Everybody Needs Somebody To Love” by Solomon Burke, “Let That Boy Boogie Woogie” by John Lee Hooker, “(You’re So Square) Baby I Don’t Care” and “Let’s Have a Party” by Elvis Presley, “I Can’t Quit You Baby” by Willie Dixon (famous in the interpretation by Otis Rush and included on “Led Zeppelin I”) and “Going Down Slow” by Howlin’ Wolf in the medley incorporated into “Whole Lotta Love”.
