Description

Pressed in just 500 copies on the Mind Control label, this bootleg LP documents a date from Led Zeppelin’s 1971 Japan tour (five concerts in total): official information claims it was the September 28th show at Osaka’s Festival Hall, but the inclusion of “Rock And Roll” as the closing track and a nod to the Platters’ standard “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes” instead points to the following day, September 29th, in the same city and at the same venue. On that occasion, the “Whole Lotta Love” medley included John Lee Hooker’s “Let That Boy Boogie,” Elvis Presley’s “I Gotta Know,” “Twist And Shout” (The Isley Brothers, Beatles), Benny Spellman’s “Fortune Teller,” Willie Dixon’s “Good Times Bad Times,” and “You Shook Me.”
