Description

For the next 150 minutes, your ears will leave your body and enter this wondrous time. This is a complete recording of the Oakland concert on September 2, 1970, two days before Blueberry Hill, edited from two different sources. It includes “Blueberry Hill,” from which the title is derived, as well as “Communication Breakdown,” which incorporates “Good Times Bad Times,” and the extremely rare encore performance of “The Train Kept A Rollin’,” and finally, “Long Tall Sally” bursts out, making for an unpredictable, dangerous, and amazing performance. In terms of content, it is a superior performance to the September 4th “Live On Blueberry Hill.”

Two different audience sources have been confirmed for this day, and by utilizing both sources, this Oakland concert has been completely recorded. “Whole Lotta Love,” which was incomplete on previous releases, can now be heard in its entirety, and minor cuts between songs have been carefully filled in. A beautiful picture disc, a sturdy, permanently preserved pressing.
