KRAFTWERK – KINGKLANG LIVE 1974 – 2 CD
AUDIO VAULTS – 2 CD
Description
Audio Vaults is releasing this unofficial Kraftwerk double CD set featuring radio and television recordings: the programme focuses on a show recorded in 1974 at the Grober Sendesaal Des Hessischen Rundfunk television studio/concert hall for Frankfurt radio station HR1, while the final bonus track comes from a 1973 German TV show for ZDF. Ralf Hütter (Minimoog, Farfisa Professional piano, mixer), Klaus Röder (electronic violin and guitar), Wolfgang Flür (electronic percussion) and Florian Schneider-Esleben, (Arp Odyssey, Ems Synthi Aks, amplified flute, mixer) perform pieces from the first self-titled album (“Ruckzuck”), the subsequent “Kraftwerk 2” (“Kling Klang”), from “Ralf Und Florian” (“Tongebirge”, “Tanzmusik” present in two versions) and from the contemporary “Autobahn” (“Kometenmelodie 1 & 2”): a nice snapshot of the early period of the pioneers of German electronics.
