This is Live in Japan in the no-makeup era. Speaking of the 1988 “CRAZY NIGHTS Tour” visit to Japan, the ultimate pro shot “A CRAZY NIGHT WITH KISS: BUDOKAN 1988” reigns as a major classic, but the Yoyogi performance of this work is next. It was also the final performance of the 1988 visit to Japan.
This work, which conveys such a stage, is a shocking debut soundboard. It is an original master brought to us through our own route, but its sound is a superb “mix table direct connection.” The level of quality itself can be called “official grade,” but it cannot be called individualistic at all. The rawness of the sound is incredible, and the raw recording feel is something that cannot be found in official products. The unprocessed feel of each instrument and each note is on a different level from any other leaked soundboard, and it feels like each instrument is plugged into your head one by one.
Such a cerebral synchronized sound depicts a precious performance in Japan during the no-makeup era. The set is the same as the previous day’s pro shot “BUDOKAN 1988” … but in fact it is slightly different. Let’s organize it by comparing.
●70s (9 songs)
・KISS: Cold Gin / Black Diamond / Strutter (*)
・DESTROYER: I Was Made For Lovin’ You / Shout It Out Loud / Detroit Rock City (*)
・Others: Rock And Roll All Nite (*) / Calling Dr. Love / Love Gun
●80s (10 songs)
・CRAZY NIGHTS: Bang Bang You / Crazy Crazy Nights / No, No, No / Reason To Live
・Others: War Machine / Tears Are Falling (★) / I Love It Loud / Fits Like A Glove / Lick It Up / Heaven’s On Fire
*Note: “★” indicates songs that were not included in the professional shot masterpiece “A CRAZY NIGHT WITH KISS: BUDOKAN 1988”. “*” indicates audience recordings.

…And that’s how it goes. It covers all the songs from “BUDOKAN 1988” and even adds “Tears Are Falling.” You can enjoy plenty of 80’s numbers from the no-makeup era.
In addition, the newly excavated soundboard recorded only up to the last song in the main set, “Shout It Out Loud.” There were no encores after that. Therefore, in this work, the remaining “Strutter,” “Rock and Roll All Nite,” and “Detroit Rock City” are complemented by audience recordings on the same day.
Moreover, this complementary audience sound source is also super-high-end. The extremely clear atmosphere and the core that is on jumps into your hand. Just after the superb sound board, you can feel the sense of the audience recording, but it is a name recording that cannot be matched by any other sound board. Usually, the complementary part in the audience recording feels like “Well, it can’t be helped,” but the complementary sound source of this work is an ultra-clear sound that makes you think “I want to listen to the whole sound even with this sound.”
Until now, the Japanese performances of the no-makeup era have been entrusted to the Budokan Pro Shot. A new must-listen board with even more masterpieces has been born. 37 years after the performance, it’s hard to believe that we’ll ever encounter such a soundboard. How many hidden treasures still lie dormant on this planet? This is a new masterpiece that even inspires awe at the depths of such archive culture. Experience the beauty of the Press 2CD, which will forever tell the story of the impact of the new excavation!
★Superb stereo soundboard recording of the “April 24, 1988: National Yoyogi Stadium” performance. This is the first public recording unearthed through our own unique route, and the sound is superb “mix table direct connection.” It’s incredibly vivid, and the raw, raw recording feel is something that’s impossible to find in an official product. The missed encore section is a complete version supplemented with the finest audience recording on the same day, and you can also enjoy “Tears Are Falling,” which isn’t included in the classic pro shot “BUDOKAN 1988.” This is a new masterpiece that will shock collectors all over the world.
