Description
Wildwood Convention Center, Wildwood, NJ, USA 23rd July 1975
The complete version of the legendary soundboard that was most widely used on the historic masterpiece “ALIVE!” is now available! This absolute masterpiece, which can be called “the true ALIVE!”, is now available on press CD!
This work permanently preserves the “July 23, 1975 Wildwood Performance.” It is a stereo soundboard recording. The traditional album “ALIVE!” is an edited live album produced from four shows. Speaking of its origin, our “DEFINITIVE DETROIT 1975 SOUNDBOARD” was also a hot topic, but of course (?) this work is a different performance. In order to organize the situation around that, let’s take a bird’s-eye view of the soundboard situation in light of the summary of activities at that time.

[The True ALIVE! Leaked from the Official Production Process]
This is KISS from 1975. All four performances that formed the basis of “ALIVE!” were part of the “DRESSED TO KILL Tour,” and this Wildwood performance was the final show of that tour. The soundboard from this day was made official in the recently released 50th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition of “ALIVE!”, attracting attention from collectors worldwide. According to the importer’s materials, this work is a master that was leaked from the production process. In other words, the recently talked-about “DEFINITIVE DETROIT 1975 SOUNDBOARD” was created under the same circumstances and through the same route.
In fact, the quality of this work is completely official. As with “DEFINITIVE DETROIT 1975 SOUNDBOARD,” the difference from the official version was unclear, but that means it’s flawless. The perfectly tuned mix and the freshness of the master, which has absolutely no degradation elements, are not at the level of a bootleg. It should now be discussed in terms of “Which is better, this or the official ALIVE itself?”
[Full soundboard from the main performance that gave birth to ALIVE!]
Another important thing is that this Wildwood performance was the most important live performance that was most frequently adopted for “ALIVE!” This work is the complete version. Let’s organize how much was adopted for “ALIVE!”
●KISS (7 songs)
・Deuce (★) / Strutter (★) / Firehouse (★) / Nothin’ To Lose (★) / 100,000 Years / Black Diamond (★) / Cold Gin (☆)
●Others (4 songs + 2 songs)
・HOTTER THAN HELL: Got to Choose (★) / Hotter Than Hell (★) / Parasite (★) / Let Me Go, Rock And Roll
・DRESSED TO KILL: She (★) / C’mon And Love Me (★)
*Note: Songs marked with “★” are included in “ALIVE!”. Songs marked with “☆” are only included in part.
…What do you think? The overwhelming number of “★” marks. Conversely, the only songs from this album that were not included in “ALIVE!” were “100,000 Years,” “Let Me Go, Rock And Roll,” and “Cold Gin (part of it).” The rest of the album formed the entire foundation of “ALIVE!”
Of course, the listening experience is completely different. “ALIVE!” is famous for the extensive overdubbing, but this work has no such modifications. This is the meaning of “true ALIVE!”.
There have been many sound boards called “Unedited ALIVE” and “Complete ALIVE” so far. However, there is no live album more suitable for that description than this work. This is the ultimate real sound board that allows you to fully experience the main performance of a historic masterpiece without any modifications. The press CD that permanently preserves the final impact of 2025, the 50th anniversary, will be in stock soon!
★Superb stereo soundboard recording of the “July 23, 1975 Wildwood performance.” Like the master that leaked from the production process of the 50th anniversary edition of “ALIVE!”, the perfectly tuned mix and the freshness of the master, free of any degradation, are not at the level of a bootleg. This is a cultural heritage album that can be enjoyed once every 50 years, allowing you to fully experience the main performances that were mostly adopted for ALIVE with unedited soundboards.
