　KISS in 1985, who laid the foundation for the no-makeup era with Bruce Kulick. The best master that will further enrich the soundboard collection is now permanently preserved!

　What is engraved in this work is the “Houston performance on January 31, 1985”. It is a stereo soundboard recording. Speaking of 1985, it was the time when “ANIMALIZE Tour” and “ASYLUM Tour” switched. Even a slight difference in time has a very different meaning, so let’s first take a bird’s-eye view of the activities at that time and approach the position of this work.

　This is KISS in 1984/1985. The Houston performance of this work was the final act of “North America #2b” of the “ANIMALIZE Tour”. This is the largest soundboard production period of the tour, and the recently released “SAN BERNARDINO 1985 SOUNDBOARD (Zodiac 741)” is still fresh in my memory. Let’s focus on the schedule and organize our collection.

　This work, which conveys such a show, is a real sound board that also combines a sense of experience. We have introduced various sound boards through our own related route, but most of them are direct-connected to the table. The loud cheers were only whispers, and most of the performance sounds and vocals were exposed. Although the rawness of this work is unchanged, the mix is well-balanced and the beauty of the entire ensemble is felt, and you can also feel the sound that creates a sense of unity between each instrument and the breath of the loud cheers. The details are unknown, but it may be that the sound board sound is mixed with the audience sound recorded with an ambient microphone.

　In addition, some of the recordings are actually audience recordings. Perhaps to compensate for the soundboard recording omissions, the second half of the drum solo, the ending of “Lick It Up”, and the last “Rock and Roll All Nite” are audience recordings (of course, knowing the switch is proof that most of the parts are not the best audience but the soundboard). This compensation was not done by our shop, but was applied to the excavation master itself.

　In any case, although this work is mainly about the thick and direct feeling of a sound board, I would like to call it a “live album” that emphasizes the total charm rather than a “sound board album” that tends to image a direct connection to the table. It is a masterpiece that also feels the heat of the site.

　Such a real sound board depicts the full show of the “ANIMALIZE Tour” with Bruce Kulick. Although the set itself is familiar, let’s organize it at the end.
