This is KISS in 1977. There were three tours, all of which were in North America except for the legendary first visit to Japan. The Houston performance of this work was one of the scenes of the “LOVE GUN Tour” in the middle of the tour. This tour is also famous for the traditional work “ALIVE II”. … and so on. The Houston performance was the second consecutive performance immediately after “ALIVE II”, and is also famous for producing professional shot masterpieces such as the professional shot masterpiece “HOUSTON 1977 1ST NIGHT / 2ND NIGHT” and the official “KISSOLOGY”. This work is not a sound drop of such a professional shot. It is a sound board master excavated by a unique related route.
[A new masterpiece that is more powerful than the same-day pro shots and sister works]
If you have read this far, you may be feeling a sense of déjà vu. Yes, this work is the second day after it was released, following the same process as the very popular “DEFINITIVE HOUSTON 1977 1ST NIGHT: SOUNDBOARD (Zodiac 746)” that was released the other day. Of course, this time it is a better soundboard master than the pro shot sound on the same day, but in fact it is even better. This work is better than the sister’s first day “1ST NIGHT (Zodiac 746)”.
The biggest point is dynamism. The direct feeling of the mix table is at the same level, but each sound is thick. The density of the midrange is also extremely high, and the deep bass is powerful enough to shake your five organs and your six viscera. Moreover, unlike the audience, the dynamism is not produced by the sound, but resides in the core itself. Of course, there is no cloudiness due to the sound, and the bass, which tends to be muddy in the audience, roars with a gritty, crisp sound.
The set list is the same as the previous professional shots and the first day “1ST NIGHT (Zodiac 746)”, so I will omit it, but the performance is exactly “unprocessed and unedited ALIVE II”. This work is the highest peak update of the soundboard album that will imprint such a climax live performance in your brain.
It is wider and clearer than the pro shot sound of the same day, and more dynamic than the sister soundboard “DEFINITIVE HOUSTON 1977 1ST NIGHT: SOUNDBOARD” of the previous day. The best sounding full live album even in the two days of Houston, the source of many masterpieces. Please enjoy it anytime and forever with the permanent press CD!
★Stereo soundboard recording of the “September 2, 1977 Houston performance”. A new master unearthed through a unique route from related parties. It is wider than the pro shot sound of the same day, and more dynamic and powerful than the press masterpiece “DEFINITIVE HOUSTON 1977 1ST NIGHT: SOUNDBOARD (Zodiac 746)” at the same venue / the previous day. The fierce direct feeling of the direct connection to the mix table is wonderful, and each sound is thick. This is a new masterpiece of a soundboard that can be called “unprocessed and unedited ALIVE II”.
